Research & Studies

Improves Facial Muscle Tone

In a 2005 clinical study, DMAE showed potential as an ingredient that penetrates under the skin and actually improves underlying facial muscle tone as well as has an anti-inflammatory effect on skin.

Addresses Multiple Aging Skin Concerns

A randomized clinical study touted DMAE results for multiple aging skin concerns, stating: “DMAE facial gel applied daily for 16 weeks was shown to be safe and efficacious in the mitigation of forehead lines and periorbital fine wrinkles, and in improving lip shape and fullness and the overall appearance of aging skin. Beneficial trends were noted in the appearance of coarse wrinkles, under-eye dark circles, nasolabial folds, sagging neck skin, and neck firmness.”

Builds Back Skin’s Natural Barrier

A 2014 study recognized DMAE “as an exciting new skincare supplement today for its acute effects of anti-aging, anti-wrinkle and skin firmness.” The study also concluded DMAE had increased dermal thickness and increased collagen stores, stating: “Those treated with 0.1% DMAE or 0.2% DMAE showed epidermal and dermal thickness and density of collagen fiber that was significantly elevated over those of aging control groups after just 42 days. In addition, those using 0.2% DMAE showed significantly increased epidermal thickness and density of collagen fiber when compared to the aging control.”

How It Works

Do you notice your skin is dryer than it was when you were younger? This is because we lose more and more moisture and collagen as we age. Along with many other factors (lack of sleep, pollution, stress) this leads to duller, wrinkled and sagging skin. DMAE, a peptide that’s naturally found in our bodies as well as in oily fish, is literally what the doctor ordered for this skin problem. It’s routinely prescribed by dermatologists and doctors who love it for its science-backed effects on tired, dehydrated skin.

DMAE Skin Layers

Why? The skin is super receptive to DMAE therefore allowing it to build on our skin’s moisture reserves, hydrate instantly and plump and smooth where nature’s left off. A form of Vitamin B choline, DMAE acts in a similar way to the fatty Omegas we all love. Collagen (the yummy stuff that makes up healthy skin) gets an engine rev by way of DMAE too.

DMAE adds moisture back to aged, parched skin thereby building back the powerful moisture barrier we’ve lost to age. In the process, it also prevents new and future skin damage. Over short and longer periods, the epidermis layer of our skin appears and is thickened and renewed.

Science + Expertise = Real Results

Science + Expertise = Real Results

AgelessRx blends pharmaceutical-grade DMAE in a unique and effective formula with alpha lipoic acid and Hyaluronic acid. Alpha lipoic is a co-enzyme and powerhouse antioxidant that fights off skin-damaging free radicals while Hyaluronic acid pumps mega-moisturize back into the epidermis. Together, these three key ingredients make up the proprietary blend. Face and neck texture look and feel restored while being protected against future aging and stress.

Possible Drug Interactions

Before starting any new prescription, be sure to tell your doctor or healthcare provider about all the medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

You should not use topical DMAE if you take any of the following medications: acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (i.e. Aricept, Cognex, Reminyl), anticholinergic medications (used for Parkinson’s Disease, COPD, and overactive bladder), cholinergic medications (used for Alzheimer’s and glaucoma), anticoagulants (i.e. blood thinners).
